When Kim and Brian contacted us to photograph their September 26, 2015 wedding, we couldn't have been more thrilled. Not only were they incredibly easy to work with (and extremely photogenic), but we had had a great time photographing Kim's sister's wedding in April 2013, and we were very excited to work with their family again. And we were right - it was awesome and we had an absolute blast photographing their wedding.
There were so many elements to this wedding that we loved - the bride's two dresses, the beer brewed by the bride and groom as favors, and the bridal party pictures on the playground. But by far our favorite part was that Kim and Brian opted for a first look before the ceremony. This was a first for us as wedding photographers, and we absolutely loved it. It was such a beautiful way for the bride and groom to begin their day together, and the surprise bonus was that it felt like it set the tone for the entire day. After their private moment, Kim and Brian were relaxed, ready to make their commitment, and then spend their day totally surrounded by and celebrating with their incredible family and friends.
It affected our work too, in the best way possible. It's a rare thing for the photographer to be able to relax at a wedding, but we truly did and we had a fantastic time. Seriously, these two totally spoiled us for all of our future weddings - we had way more fun than we should be allowed to have when we're working!
Congratulations, Kim and Brian! We were so blessed to have been a part of your day!
